Design (Basic & Detail) of Plant Control System (SCADA)

Veolia Energy Varna trusted Bright Engineering Ltd. for designing and implementation of system for control and management in Toplofikatsia Varna.

DCS based on PLC modules collect the signals from all boilers, local control units, gas and steam consumptions. Key element in this project is the realization of the combustion system of the boilers. Primarily in automating of the processes for control of boilers attention should be payed to the control of the combustion processes.

Total classified as controlling the burner – BMS (burner management system ) and combustion control – CCS (combustion control system) they are related with the start, stop or operations with the boiler and perform all safety requirements for the personnel and the equipment.

The integration of this control system with other local control units like control of natural gas flow, turbines, co-generators, district heating pumps, as well as the full visualization of the process helped for the realization of complete DCS that automates the processes, provides protections and interlocks, supports normal and safe operation conditions for  the installations and ultimately optimizes the operation efficiency of the whole plant, leads to a more rational use of the energy, better control and analysis of the collected information.
